Unsolved Mystery Project

https://haikudeck.com/p/53a76c3849 here is my presentation.

Pro’s

  • I liked the setup of how one could view the slides
  • The slide setup was easy
  • There was a notes section to remind yourself what you were going to do, and write down anything you need to remember
  • The picture search option was easy

Con’s

  • The font was weird to play with, words would go off the slide and i couldn’t fix it.
  • The app was very glitchy and slow
  • There wasn’t much to do without being a subscriber
  • There wasn’t many options to make it creative
  • Animations were not applicable
  • Images could not be uploaded

Dash 2/27

Today Sean and I got Dash as our project. We honestly had no idea what to do, or how he worked.
So we used our problem solving skills and figured out the basics of him. We downloaded the app required to make him work. We also generated our structured project; thinking we will make an obstacle course for him to go around, and we will have to measure and code the track. We took him down to places around the school to scope out a good area, while getting used to how he works.

Group 5 Project

For the group 5 project, Sean and I would like the attempt at learning and working with Dash. With dash, we would like to take him to various places/arenas around the school to create interesting obstacle courses, then having to code, and use his app to direct him around. we would like to use the catapult as well to create interesting processes. We will create different obstacles everyday to test our skills and master Dash.

2/15 Arduino

Today was a slow day for us, as Sean left to fix other problems, which gave me little to do. From this, I started to work on the iMovie that is needed to present our Project. I have been taking pictures throughout the project, so I added those in, and put some text in the iMovie. I should be able to finish this on Friday.

Arduino 2/14

Today Sean an I looked at an advanced problem for Arduino, and googled processes on how to complete it. Sean an I asked each other questions, trying to figure it out. Sean an I followed the given directions from the project, to help understand and complete the project. We played around with the Arduino, figuring stuff out on our own.

Arduino Project 4

Today, Sean and I wired the circuit so the light would turn on, we did this a couple times to master it, and get a better understanding. We have started a more advanced circuiting system, which we will continue next class.

Arduino

Today was the first day with Arduino. I have almost no experience with Arduino and the aspects of circuits. As time went on in the class, Sean and I got familiar with the circuit board and ran the first task of the blinking light. I look forward to learning more and doing more advanced projects with Arduino.

Group 4 Project: Arduino

My next group project will be Arduino. Arduino is a computer hardware and software company, project, and user community that designs and manufactures micro-controller kits for building digital devices and interactive objects that can sense and control objects in the physical world. This will be a real world application for me as it helps with engineering and coding. Pursuing a interest in engineering, Arduino will help to teach me how to build and code simple products, leading me to build bigger and more complex technology. Most careers in todays society need simple technology skills. Coding and simple engineering processes will give me an edge later in life.

Group project:Web design

Today, I finished my planning for my website, and started putting my plan into place. First, I edited some themes on certain pages of the website, and edited fonts/visualization on certain pages. I then aded a new page for the group projects. I added 2 pictures, and plan to add more pictures and a video. I will describe the pictures and videos by adding text next class. I then added 6 videos to the 20% project page, and plan to add text to this page next class. I will need one more class to finish up my design, then form my iMovie. For my next project I would like to do Arduino. Arduino has so many uses, and has so many teaching points. With one small technology board called Arduino, I will be able to make many useful technology devices, and it will teach me aspects of building technology. This will prepare me for a future of engineering that I want to pursue.
